A New Innovative Erosion Control System Developed Using High-Quality Robust Geotextile Product Solutions.

About Nasij Nanotechnology Inc.

Nasij Nanotechnology Inc. offers high-quality robust woven and non-woven geotextile fabric solutions for erosion control, flooding, and concrete molding for construction. The geotextiles provide separation, filtration, drainage, and protection functions while being flexible, cost-effective, robust, and easy to implement.

We have developed a highly innovative erosion control system, a technology used to produce geotextiles by filling high-strength fabric forms aggregate concrete (structural grout).

We look to solve the existing issues that are found in the erosion control system. With rising sea levels and changes in the environment, including heavy rainfall and rapid snow and ice melting, causing costal erosion, Canada is at a standstill with methods to help prevent it and to protect the people who live along the coastlines.

Problems To Solve

I. Significant rise of sea level in Canada

Canada’s coastline is the world’s longest (243,042 km). 6.5 million Canadians live near the marine coasts. Annual economic damages to Canada’s coast from sea-level rise is around $4 billion. The sea-level rise is projected to be in the range of 0.6–1.3 meters by 2100.

II. Coastal erosion induced by higher sea levels

Coastal erosion is a natural process that reshapes shorelines through ocean currents and tidal movements. Coastline shrinkage is estimated at 0.5-2 meters per year. The erosion-induced coastal property loss costs $500 million per year.

A larger volume of water created an inlet between the Atlantic and the Matanzas River near St. Augustine, FL. Sometimes the erosion happens quickly and catastrophically due to a major storm event (hurricane or tropical storm).

III. Increased frequency of floods

According to Public Safety Canada; floods are the most common natural hazard in the country and among the costliest. Almost two million households in Canada are at “very high risk” of flooding. In 2020, the insured damage for severe weather events across Canada reached $2.4 billion.

Our Solutions

Geotextiles are an ideal erosion protection method. They are permeable textiles used to increase soil stability and provide erosion control. The Geotextiles functions are separation, filtration, drainage, and protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Woven Geotextile?

1. Woven geotextile is manufactured by weaving.
2. Woven geotextiles are a poor fit for drainage projects.
3. They are robust and the ideal option for erosion control and aggregate separation.

Non-Woven Geotextile ?

1. Non-woven geotextile is manufactured by bonding materials together.
2. They are used in filter/separation applications.
3. Non-woven geotextiles break down faster.
